The NJC Plainswomen would like to announce post season honors for the 2004-2005 season. NJC finished with 20 wins and 13 losses on the season. Team Awards: South Sub-Region Champions

Mike and Gina Brandt Academic Award
Janae Urrutia - Merino, CO (GPA 4.0) Each year a Plainswomen is awarded this award for achieving the highest G.P.A. on the team. Janae achieved a 4.0 in both of her freshman and sophomore years. Former Coach Mike Brandt and his wife award this honor to continue the strong academic standards that the Plainswomen Basketball program have established.
Andi Whitlock Heart Award
Danielle Mildenberger - Sterling, CO This season Danielle was named the recipient of the Andi Whitlock Heart Award. Andi was a former NJC Plainswomen who passed away as a result of a car accident. Each year a current player is awarded the award that has similar characteristics as Andi. Andi played with determination, had great character, and played with a lot of heart. Single Season Scoring Record
Iva Tomova - Varna, Bulgaria Iva Tomova shattered the single season scoring record by scoring 550 points this season. She averaged 16.7 points per game and played in all 33 games. The old scoring record was held by Kristy Long who scored 468 points in the 2003 season. Iva finished second in scoring average in Region IX this season.
